Mumbai City FC clinched the ISL 2023-24 Trophy by beating Mohun Bagan Super Giant by 3-1 in the ISL Final in Kolkata. Pereyra Diaz, Bipin Singh and Jakub Vojtus scored for Mumbai City in the final.

Mumbai City FC beat Mohun Bagan Super Giant by 3-1 in the final of the ISL 2023-24 at the Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata. The Islanders took their revenge for the ISL Shield final loss and got crowned the Indian Super League Champions for the second time in their history. The Mariners did take the first-half lead but Mumbai scored thrice in the second half to complete the comeback and win the title.

Mumbai City wins the ISL 2023-24

It took both teams some time to pick up the pace. Mumbai were threatening the MBSG defence over and over again in the first half and it looked like they would take the lead but it didn't happen. Chhangte hits the crossbar twice inside forty minutes. MBSG took the lead in the 44th minute through Cummings.

Petratos took a shot from the distance but Phurba pushed it straight to Cummins inside the box. The Aussie scored on the rebound by dinking it over the keeper to provide the lead to his side. MBSG were cruising but the Mumbai City FC players didn't let their shoulders drop and came up with a better performance in the second half.

Jorge Pereyra Diaz scored the equalizer for the Islanders in the 53rd minute of the game. Diaz received the ball into the box from Noguera and he beat Manvir to convert it. This goal brought Mumbai back into the contest and Petr Kratky's side never looked back.

Mumbai got two huge opportunities in the 61st minute to take the lead but wasted both of them. However, they didn't have to wait for long as Bipin scored in the 81st minute to get the lead for his side. Chhangte took a shot which was blocked, but the ball went to Jakub who passed it to Bipin in front of the goal. The substitute missed the ball first but struck in the second attempt and it took a deflection, ending into the back of the net. 

The final nail in the coffin arrived in the 90+7 minute and it was Jakub who scored it. Mumbai City FC beat Mohun Bagan 3-1 to complete the comeback and win the ISL 2023-24 title.
