There is less than a year left for the start of the Paris Olympics 2024. Indian players are gearing up to participate in this prestigious event and by participating in different sports, they are strengthening their claim to participate in the Olympic Games.

There are 47 players from India so far who have qualified for the Paris Olympics 2024. Let us see the list of players who have qualified for this Olympic Games.
For some time now, Indian players have continuously increased their participation in the Olympic Games. There has been a steady rise in the number of Indian athletes.
Earlier a total of 124 players from India had participated in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. This was by far the largest contingent of Indian players who had participated in the Olympic Games. This team of India also won the maximum number of medals in the Games. It was in this Olympics itself that Neeraj Chopra created history by winning a historic gold medal in the men's javelin throw event.

At the same time, in the Paris Olympics 2024, India hopes that more and more players will qualify to take part in this competition. At the Paris 2024, India will expect more athletes to qualify and of course, increase the Tokyo Olympics medal haul. In this tournament, some players have made a place for India, while players are yet to make a place in many sports, which will be decided through the upcoming games.

Meanwhile, trap shooter Bhowneesh Mendiratta secured the first position for India in the World Championship. After achieving this position, he was the first to qualify for the Paris Olympics 2024. While Priyanka Goswami and Akshdeep Singh have been the first to qualify for the Paris Olympics 2024 athletics event.

Till now India has got 20 Paris Olympic quota places from shooting. These include 8 Olympic places in rifle, 8 in pistol, and 4 in shotgun. Earlier, 15 shooters from India had participated in Tokyo Olympics 2020.
