November 14 is the birthday of one of the greatest batters and wicketkeepers of all time, Adam Gilchrist. He was known for his aggressive stroke-play in all formats of the game.
Gilchrist made his Test debut for Australia in November 1999 and went on to score a total of 5,570 runs at an average of 47.60.
Adam Gilchrist held the record for the most dismissals by an Australian in ODIs (472) and Test cricket.
Gilchrist won three World Cup titles with the Australian team and played a big role in the 2007 final win.
