Australia breeze past Bangladesh to register Seventh Straight Win in World Cup

Australia notched up their seventh straight win in the ICC showpiece as they registered an 8-wicket win over Bangladesh ahead of their semifinal encounter.

Bangladesh posted a total of 306 for the loss of 8 wickets in 50 overs before Australia successfully chased down the target with 32 deliveries remaining thanks to an incredible 177-run unbeaten knock from Mitchell Marsh.

Marsh hit 17 fours and nine sixes to end the match in 44.4 overs. He added 120 for the second wicket with David Warner (53) and 175 for the unbroken third wicket stand with Steve Smith (63 not out).

Steve Smith and David Warner added a half-ton each to help the men from down-under carry their wining momentum into the knockout battle against South Africa.
