Yashasvi Jaiswal hit his first Test century at home, bringing up an excellent 151-ball 100 in Vizag test against England.
It was Yashasvi Jaiswal's second test hundred after he opened his account on his debut in the West Indies with 171 in July 2023.
Yashasvi Jaiswal became only the 4th Indian batter after to hit a home and away hundred before turning 23. He joined an elite list of fellow Mumbai batters, including Sachin Tendulkar, Ravi Shastri and Vinod Kambli to achieve the feat
Sachin Tendulkar hit his maiden test hundred in Manchester in 1990 and brought up his maiden Test hundred at home in Chennai in 1993. He had hit hundreds in Sydney, Perth and Johannesburg before he hit his maiden Test hundred.
Ravi Shastri also hit a home and away test hundred before he turned 23.
Vinod Kambil, another Mumbaikar, had also hit a home and away Test hundred before turning 23. The left-handed player 17 tests and hit 4 hundreds for India.
