Yashasvi Jaiswal, on Sunday, November 26, became the third Indian to hit a T20I half-century in the powerplay. Jaiswal achieved the feat in the 2nd T20I against Australia in Trivandrum.
Jaiswal became the third after KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma to the 50-run mark. He played some brilliant shots and got to his half-century off 24 balls.
KL Rahul scored the half-century against Scotland in the T20 World Cup in 2021.
Rohit Sharma, on the other hand, became the first Indian with a fifty inside the powerplay of a T20I. He scored the half-century against New Zealand in 2020 at Seddon Park in Hamilton.
