Jasprit Bumrah 1st Indian pacer to top ICC Rankings

Jasprit Bumrah has became the first Indian pacer to top the ICC Men's Test bowling rankings. Bumrah produced an outstanding performance in the second Test against England in Visakhapatnam.

Jasprit Bumrah's nine-wicket match haul has helped leapfrog Pat Cummins, Kagiso Rabada and Ravichandra Ashwin. He became only the fourth India to became the No. 1 bowler after Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja and Bishan Singh Bedi

Jasprit Bumrah was named player of the match after helping India level the five-match series with a 106-run victory.

Jasprit Bumrah ended teammate Ravichandra Ashwin's 11-month long reign as the World No. 1 Test bowler.

Jasprit Bumrah now has a tally of 881 rating points with Ravichandra Ashwin (904) and Ravindra Jadeja (899) the only India bowlers to have aggregated more rating points.

Ashwin and Jadeja also have the unique distinction of being jointly top ranked, in March 2017.
