Kuldeep helped India bowl out the Proteas for just 95 runs in 13.5 overs to win the match by a record margin of 106 runs and level the T20I series at 1-1.
The figures of 5 for 17 are Kuldeep's best bowling figures for India in T20Is and fourth overall by an Indian bowler in the shortest format.
The left-arm spinner created history by becoming the first Indian spinner to take two five-wicket hauls in T20Is. Kuldeep's first five-wicket hauls in T20Is was against England in 2018 when he dismissed the English batters for 24 runs.
