The veteran forward is in the process of finalizing an agreement with the Florida team. Suarez has not yet signed a deal with Inter Miami but is likely to put pen to paper once he leaves Gremio at the end of the Brazilian season.
Suarez has been linked with a move to Inter Miami since Messi joined the club in July. He agreed to cut his contract with Gremio short so that he could make the transfer to join up with his former Barcelona team-mates, Messi, Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba.
Suarez will be signed with Targeted Allocation Money (TAM) so that Inter Miami can keep his salary low enough so as not to snap him up as a Designated Player.
The 36-year-old will commit to a contract with Inter Miami and complete his move to Florida. He and his new team-mates will soon start preparing for the 2024 MLS campaign.
