On this day, Virat Kohli shatters Sachin Tendulkar's 15-year-old feat

Back on February 7, 2018 Virat Kohli broke a major record of Sachin Tendulkar in ODIs. He made the record of the highest individual score by an Indian batter in South Africa.

Back in February 2003, Sachin Tendulkar scored 152 runs against the Proteas in Pietermaritzburg.

In the 3rd ODI of the series, Virat Kohli racked up 160 runs off 159 balls with 12 fours and 2 sixes.

On the back of his knock, India scored 303 for the loss of 6 wickets at the Newlands in Cape Town. India won the match by 124 runs after bowling the Proteas out for 179 in 40 overs.
