He has now scored 1195 runs in 20 matches in ODI World Cup. Rohit is only behind Sachin, Ponting, Sangakkara, Lara, De Villiers, and Shakib in terms of runs scored in ODI World Cups.
Rohit Sharma also became the first Indian to hit 300 sixes in ODIs. He also registered the highest score by an Indian captain against Pakistan in ODI World Cups.
Pakistan were bundled for 191 runs in the first innings against India. India chased down the target with seven wickets in hand to make it 8-0 in ODI World Cups against Pakistan.
