Cristiano Ronaldo breaks Gerd Muller's 42-year-old record

Cristiano Ronaldo once again etched his name the history books by breaking Gerd Muller's 42- year-old record during Al-Nassr's 4-1 win over US Monastir in Arab Club Championships Cup

The Portuguese star striker scored his 145th header goal and became the leading goal-scorer through a header . Ronaldo went past Gerd Muller's 144-header goal tally.

With Ronaldo's record-breaking feat, Spain Carlos Santillana moved down to third place on the elite list. He has a tally of 125-headed goals and is followed by Pele, who has  tally of 124 goals.

During the match, Ronaldo also upped his goal tally at the King Fahd International Stadium. Ronaldo struck his 839th career goal in the 74th minute of the game.
