Indian archers put up a scintillating show, winning 10 medals at the Archery Asia Cup 2023 Stage-1 World Ranking tournament in Taoyuan, Chinese Taipei on Sunday. In all, 16 Indian archers including eight men and eight women competed at the Asia Cup 2023 in Taoyuan. India topped the medal tally with 10 medals, while Taipei and Kazakhstan finished second and third.

Meanwhile, Recurve Men, Compound Men, Compound Women, Recurve Men's Team, and Compound Women's Team won gold medals for India. While Recurve Men's, Compound Men's, Compound Women's, and Compound Women's Team sealed their silver medals. Apart from this, India got a bronze medal in the compound mixed-team event of the Archery Asia Cup 2023.

In the recurve category, India's Rahul won the gold medal by defeating compatriot Rampal Choudhary 6-2 in the men's recurve final and Rampal Choudhary had to settle for the silver medal. While in the men's recurve team event, the Indian pair of Rahul, Rampal Choudhary, and Parth Salunkhe won the gold medal by defeating the Saudi Arabian trio of Mansour Alwi, Rashed Alsubaie and Abdul Rahman Almus 5-3 in the Archery Asia Cup final.

However, India's campaign in the women's recurve event ended with a quarterfinal loss to Shrushtti Balaji jogdand. The recurve women's team ended up losing 4-5 to Australia in the bronze medal match. Earlier, the recurve women's team had lost 0-6 to Taipei in the semi-finals. While In the compound category, Pawan Gat defeated Priyansh 10-9 in the shoot-off in the final of the compound men's event, thus winning the gold and silver medals for India. In the compound women's final, Pragati defeated Preneet Kaur in a shoot-off.

At the same time, in the compound women's team final, the trio of Pragati, Praneet Kaur, and Aishwarya Sharma defeated Kazakhstan's Viktoriya Lyan, Adel Zhexenbinova, and Roxana Yunussova 227-215 to win the gold medal. Meanwhile, the compound men's team of Venkatadri Kunderu, Pawan Gat, and Priyansh lost 226-225 to the Malaysian trio of Mohd Juwaidi Marzuki, Mohammad Syafiq Md Ariffin, and Muhammad Alang Ariff to settle for an Archery Asia Cup silver medal.
