Indian players have performed well so far in the Asian Games 2023 and India has won 22 medals in four days. Medals are expected from many players on the fifth day also. India has won gold medals in shooting and horse riding and even today the hopes of medals are highest in these two sports. India got five medals on the first day of the competition, six on the second day, three on the third day, and eight on the fourth day.

Anush Agarwalla wins equestrian individual dressage bronze: India has won another medal in horse riding. Anush Agarwalla has won the bronze medal in equestrian individual dressage event. Anush and his horse Etro finished third in individual dressage and won the bronze medal with a score of 73.030. This is the second medal for Anush and Etro after the team gold.

Jaismine Lamboria's one-sided victory leads her way into quarters: In boxing, Jaismine Lamboria has won her match in a one-sided manner. In the first round itself, she rained punches on the opposition player and made it 5-0 in her favor. Even in the second round, she continued attacking Hadeel Ghazwan Ashour and the referee stopped the match midway. With this Jasmine was declared the winner.

Sharath-Sathiyan pair reaches last 16 in table tennis: Sharath Kamal and Sathiyan Gnanasekaran easily defeated Mongolia's Ser-od Gankhuyag and Manlaijargal Munkh-Ochir 3-0 (11-5, 11-3, 11-3) in the men's doubles round of 32. With this, the Indian pair reached the last 16 of the Asian Games 2023.

Men's team wins gold in Shooting: The men's 10m air pistol team of Arjun Cheema, Sarabjot Singh, and Shiva Narwal has defeated China by one point to clinch the gold medal. India won the medals with a score of 1734 (gold), China 1733 (silver) and Vietnam 1730 (bronze).

India's great start in Badminton: After PV Sindhu's one-sided win in the first singles match, Ashmita Chaliha also registered an impressive win in the second match - 21-2, 21-3. The tie was then sealed by 18-year-old Asian Games debutant Anupama Upadhyaya. Her extraordinary abilities were on display as she routed Khulangoo Baatar with an astonishing score of 21-0, 21-2.

India got today's first medal in Wushu: India got its first medal in Wushu on Day 5 of the Asian Games 2023. Naorem Roshibina Devi has won silver medal in Women's 60kg sanda event. The judges deemed Wu Xiaowei the winner of the first round and she led 1–0. Wu won the second round also and won the gold medal. Roshibina won silver medal in women's 60 kg in Wushu, following the bronze medal she had won in 2018.

PV Sindhu's great victory in the opener: PV Sindhu has started her Asian Games 2023 campaign with a spectacular win. She defeated Myagmartseren Ganbaatar of Mongolia 21-2, 21-3.
