Atanu Das and Mehuli Ghosh again in Target Olympic Podium Scheme, young shooter Tilattma Sen in development group

Olympian and World Championship silver medalist archer Atanu Das has been re-inducted into the Target Olympic Podium Scheme (TOPS) after impressive performances at the domestic level and at the Archery World Cup in Antalya this year. The ministry informed in a release on Thursday.

Atanu made a comeback to international outdoor competition after almost one-and-a-half years. Earlier, he finished fourth in the men's recurve individual rankings with a score of 673. He was selected for his recent performance in the domestic tournament this year and in the Archery World Cup in Antalya.

Apart from this, women rifle shooter Mehuli Ghosh and 15-year-old Tilattama Sen have also been included in Target Olympic Podium Scheme. Mehuli won the 10m air rifle event at the National Shooting Trials this year. Tilattama made her debut in the senior circuit. She won a bronze medal in the 10m air rifle event at the Cairo World Cup earlier this year. She has also won individual bronze and team gold medals at the Junior World Championships.

27 new names have been added to the Target Olympic Podium Scheme Core and Development list. They took the total number of players in TOPS to 270 (101 Core and 169 Development).
