Besides, the 25-year-old player has just parted ways from Bhubaneswar National Inter-State Senior Athletics Championship.

Neeraj's name was also not in the 54-member Indian team announced for the Asian Athletics Championships 2023 on Thursday. Neeraj Chopra, who ranked first in men's javelin throw, can compete at the Lausanne Diamond League 2023 in Switzerland on June 30. Neeraj began his Diamond League title defence with a first-place finish at the Doha Diamond League in May. The Doha meet, though, has been Neeraj Chopra's only competitive outing this year till now.
