After creating history yesterday at the Badminton Asia Championships in Dubai, India's top men's doubles pair prolonged their run in the tournament on Saturday. The Indian badminton pair Satwik Sairraj Renkireddy and Chirag Shetty defeated the current Olympic Champions in Chinese Taipei pair Lee Yang and Wang Chi-Lin. After winning the first game (21-18), the Indian pair was announced as the winner as Wang Chi-Lin had to retire hurt due to an injury.
Yesterday, the pair of Satwiksairaj Renkireddy and Chirag Shetty already had assured India's first medal in men's doubles after 52 years in this tournament.
