Indian badminton players are doing quite a good run in the BWF Badminton World Championships 2021. HS Prannoy showed impressive performance in all the games of the men's singles. He defeated Daren Liew of Malaysia in the BWF Badminton World Championships 2021.

Prannoy took no time to settle in the match and started with a bang. He scored consecutive 8 points in the first game and lead the game by 16-4 at some point. He continued playing the game in an attacking method for the entire 42 minutes and ended the game with 21-7, 21-17 to march into the third round. Between 9 encounters of HS Prannoy and Daren Liew, this match was the Indian badminton player's 6th victory.
On the other hand, Ashwini Ponnappa and N Sikki Reddy defeated Liu Xuanxuan and Xia Yuting in the women's doubles. The Indian duo defeated the Chinese duo in 51 minutes 21-11, 9-21, 21-13, and cruises into the third round.
