BWF has released its latest rankings. India's star shuttler Lakshya Sen has improved two places to reach a career-best sixth position in the latest BWF rankings. It has been a stellar season for the 21-year-old target from Almora.

This season, Lakshya has shown a brilliant performance and has scored 75,024 points from 23 tournaments. The 21-year-old Lakshya is a resident of Almora. He had won the gold medal in the Birmingham Commonwealth Games earlier this year. Apart from Lakshya, in the BWF rankings, Kidambi Srikanth remained static at 11th and HS Prannoy at 12th.
Meanwhile, among women, the pair of Treesa Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand made it to the top 20 with an improvement of two places. The pair has reached the 19th position. Treesa and Gayatri had won a bronze medal at the Birmingham Commonwealth Games. They have 46,020 points in 17 tournaments.

Meanwhile, the men's pair of French Open and Commonwealth champions Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty remained static at the seventh position in men's doubles. At the same time, Ishaan Bhatnagar and Tanisha Crasto remain at the 24th position in mixed doubles. While two-time Olympic medalist PV Sindhu, who has not played in any tournament since the Birmingham Commonwealth Games due to an ankle injury, remained ranked sixth among women.
