Kidmabi Srikanth has been in top form since the start of the Hylo Open 2021. The ace Indian badminton player has shown some tremendous dominance to beat his opponents. Srikant who cruised to the semi-finals of Hylo Open defeated NG Ka Long of Hing Kong.

The game was tough for Kidambi from the start. Third-seeded Long was always a tough opponent. Srikanth won the first game 21-11. The first game was over in just 14 minutes.
However, as expected, Long made a comeback in the second set. Long won the second set by 12-21. Once the score the second game was 5-5. Then, Long started pressing Srikanth with his attacking game. From them, the No.9 ranked shutter in the world got to an 11-6 lead.

Meantime, Srikanth kept on a mission down the line smashes which proved too wide. The game was soon over as Long came back in the match with a result of 21-11. The match was now in balance with a 1-1 game for each of the shutters.
In the third game, the fight between the two experienced shuttlers was mouthwatering. At the break, Srikanth had an 11-8 lead despite a tough defence from Long.
Sooner Kidmabi was in front of a match point. Though, Long saved four match points to be alive in the match. However, he couldn't resist a semifinal spot for the Indian. The final score for Kidambi Srikanth in the quarterfinals of Hylo Open 2021 went like - 21-11, 12-21, 21-19.
Srikanth will now face second-seeded Lee Zii Jia of Malaysia for a place in the final of the Hylo Open 2021.
