The Indian pair lost against Korean pair Kang Min Hyuk and Seo Sang Jae by 21-15 11-21 18-21.

In the recently concluded India Open badminton championship, the Indian duo of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty faced off against the world champions Kang Min Hyuk and Seo Sang Jae in a highly anticipated final. After a grueling match that lasted for 65 minutes, the Indian pair eventually lost 21-15 11-21 18-21 to their Korean opponents in India Open 2024 final.

Despite putting up a valiant effort, Satwik and Chirag were unable to overcome the formidable challenge posed by Kang and Seo. The match was a thrilling display of badminton skills, with both pairs showing great athleticism and technique.

This was the second successive runners-up finish for Satwik and Chirag, who had also finished as the runners-up in the Malaysia Super 1000 tournament last week. The Asian Games champions were hoping to clinch the title in front of their home crowd, but unfortunately fell just short of their goal. Nonetheless, they can take pride in their performance and look forward to future tournaments with renewed confidence.
