Belinda Clark was a giant of the Women's game. She has led by example, averaging over 45 in both Tests and one-day internationals. She represented Australia as a captain for 14 years. Clark made her one-day international debut for Aus in 1991 against the Kiwis. In a World Cup match against Denmark in 1997, Belinda Clark made her first double-century, which was the first double ton made by a male or female in ODI cricket history. Clark finished with 229 not out in 155 balls. Her innings contained 22 fours. Her 229* remained the highest individual score in an ODI match till 2016 for almost 21 years.

Sachin Tendulkar is considered as the "GOD" of Cricket. He represented India for around 23 years. He made his debut in 1989 against Pakistan. In an ODI match against South Africa in 2010, he made his first double century, which was the first double ton by a male cricketer in cricket history. Sachin Tendulkar smashed all previous records to finish with a score of 200* off 147 balls, studded with 25 fours and three sixes.

Virender Sehwag was the most destructive batsman in limited-overs cricket for India, a player who changed the definition of opening an opener. He made his debut for India in 1999 against Pakistan. Virender Sehwag became the second male player in the history of ODI cricket to score a double century. Sehwag, went on to score 219 runs against the West Indies at Holkar Cricket Stadium in Indore.

Rohit Sharma can be said, a perfect successor to Virender Sehwag. He made his ODI debut in 2007 against Ireland. Six years later Rohit Sharma made his first double ton against Australia. He scored 209 in 158 deliveries by hitting 16 sixes & 12 fours. Rohit Sharma became the third male batsman to score a double ton in ODI cricket history.

Rohit Sharma made his second double ton in the very next year in 2014 against Sri Lanka. He became the first player in the history of ODI cricket to score two double centuries in one-day internationals. He scored 264 runs in 173 deliveries. This is the highest individual score in ODI cricket history.

He made his double ton in the 2015 World Cup Quarter Final against West Indies & became the 5th male player to achieve that feat. It was as beautiful as it was brutal. A lone shark who fought against the whole West Indies side & scored 237* runs - the highest ever by any batsman in the World Cup.

Rohit Sharma can be said The Brand Ambassador of Double Centuries. He made his third ODI double ton in 2017 against Sri Lanka. Rohit Sharma scored 208* runs in 153 deliveries. He destroyed the Sri Lankan side onehandedly

9. Amelia Kerr | New Zealand | 13th June,2018

Amelia Kerr is already one of the best all-rounders in Women's limited-overs Cricket. She made her debut in One-day Internationals vs Pakistan in 2016. Opening the innings In a match against Ireland, Amelia Kerr blasted her first ODI double ton at the age of only 17 years. She scored 232* runs in just 145 balls by hitting 31 fours & 2 sixes and became the youngest male or female to score a double ton in ODI cricket history. She is also the second female cricketer to achieve that.

Fakhar Zaman is one of the most elegant players in Pakistan cricket. He made his ODI debut in 2017 against South Africa. Zaman made his ODI double-ton in 2018 against Zimbabwe & became the sixth player to achieve that. He scored 210* runs in 156 deliveries. He is the only Pakistan Cricket Player to achieve that feat in One-day Internationals.

Ishan Kishan is a perfect example of an attacking Opener in limited-overs Cricket. He made his One-day Internationals debut for India against Sri Lanka in 2021.  Opening the innings In a match against Bangladesh in 2022, Ishan Kishan scored his first double ton & became the third youngest player to achieve that milestone. He scored 210 runs in just 131 balls by hitting 24 fours & 10 sixes. This was the fastest double century by a batsman in the history of cricket (126 balls).

Shubman Gill is making records for fun at this time. He made his ODI international debut for Indian Senior Cricket Team against New Zealand in 2019. Opening the Innings against the Kiwis in the first ODI on 18th Jan 2023, Gill scored his first ODI double ton & became the second youngest player to achieve that milestone. He also completed his 1000 ODI runs in just 19 innings – the fastest ever by an Indian Batsman.
