Cricket teams undergo several practice sessions for the matchday preparations. Players have a fun time training and enjoy the drills given to them. To clarify, the Indian team undertook team drills ahead of team India's 3-day practice match. Certainly, the match is scheduled for 20th July in Durham. They took part in competitions to get into the groove of things. In a video shared by BCCI, the fielding coach R Sridhar reiterated the fielding practice sessions that team India is currently undertaking. The Indian cricket team will take on Select County XI in a 3-day practice match at Durham Cricket Ground from Tuesday.

The 2-minute clip showed the boys involving direct hits, throwing accurately at the bowlers' end to ensure smooth warm-up. The 'Men in Blue' then engaged in a light-hearted underarm ball throwing competition that attempted to probe players' reflexes. The fielding coach said that people underestimate this activate but it is of great use in players improvements.

Virat Kohli contingent including Rohit Sharma won the competition. The opposition team comprising R Aswin and Cheteshwar Pujara mockingly blamed Sridhar for backing Kohli's side in the competition.
