Asia Cup 2022: Mohammad Rizwan was taken to the hospital for a precautionary scan for suspected injury

On Sunday, Pakistan wicket-keeper batsman Mohammad Rizwan was taken to the hospital for an MRI scan after suffering an injury during the match against India in the Asia Cup 2022. In this match, the Pakistan Cricket Team decided to bowl first. During the Indian batting, Mohammad Rizwan had landed on his right foot awkwardly after being thrown into the air.

Rizwan injured himself while catching a bouncer by Mohammad Hasnain. His right leg was sprained when he jumped and fell to the ground. After that, The team physio came running. He examined Rizwan's injuries for some time. However, the good thing was that after some treatment, he stood on his feet and continued with the wicketkeeping. Apart from this, he came out to bat and made a significant contribution to the team. The star player played a match-winning knock against Team India despite not being 100% fit to bat. He scored 71 runs and did not look comfortable during this innings.

According to Pakistan media, Rizwan will now undergo a precautionary MRI scan to determine the extent of his injury. He was hospitalized after Pakistan's thrilling win at the Dubai International Stadium on Sunday. The Pakistan team and team fans must be praying that Rizwan's injury does not become more serious and that he should return to the field soon.
