The rise of Asian batters in the ICC ODI Batting rankings is not surprising. The subcontinent has always been known for producing some of the best batters in the world. The conditions in the subcontinent are often conducive to batting. The pitches are also generally flat and offer very little assistance to bowlers. This has allowed batters to score big runs and accumulate high averages.
