Bangladesh defeated India by 4 wickets to avoid a 0-3 whitewash in Dhaka. Shamima Sultana built the innings with a solid 42 before an expensive 18th over from debutant Rashi Kanojiya opened the game for Bangladesh. At first, Minnu Mani provided India with the perfect start as she removed opener Shathi Rani and Dilara Akter in her first 2 overs. Bangladesh were then managed by Shamima and Nigar Sultana who put on a 46-run partnership before Devika Vaidya broke the stand by dismissing the skipper. Earlier, Bangladesh restricted India to 102/9 in 20 overs as Rabeya Khan finished with a 3/16 figure. The Indian batting lineup crumbled completely, leaving Bangladesh 103 to chase in 20 overs. Bangladesh Women vs India Women: 3rd T20I Match Report

India: 102/9 | Harmanpreet Kaur - 40(41) | Rabeya Khatun - 4-16-3

IND-W won the toss and decided to bat first. Bangladesh got off to a brilliant start as Sultana Khatun sent both the openers home under 4 overs. Jemimah and the skipper, Harmanpreet put up a strong partnership which helped India to build a foundation but Shoma Akter dismissed Jemimah for 28 in the 12th over. Harmanpreet Kaur(40) fought alone and tried to counter-attack but Fahima Khatun came up with her wicket. No other batters were able to hold India on the ground and as a result, they crumbled completely. Rabeya Khatun finished her spell with 3 wickets and India only managed to put up 102 on the scoreboard.

Bangladesh lost two wickets in the first four overs and the mastermind was Minnu Mani. She gave the start, India were exactly looking for. Shamima Sultana and the skipper, Nigar Sultana built a partnership of 46 runs and gave Bangladesh a strong ground to chase the low total. Devika Baidya came up with a solution and scalped the wicket of the Bangladesh skipper which put them in deep trouble. Shamima struggled but fought with her heart out and took Bangladesh closer to victory.

Minnu Mani gave India hope by running out Shamima for 42 runs but the debutant Rashi Kanojiya's last over of the spell went very expensive. Nahida Akter played a short cameo and Bangladesh finally reached to their destination to claim a consolation victory by 4 wickets.
