IND-W won the toss and decided to bat first. Bangladesh got off to a brilliant start as Sultana Khatun sent both the openers home under 4 overs. Jemimah and the skipper, Harmanpreet put up a strong partnership which helped India to build a foundation but Shoma Akter dismissed Jemimah for 28 in the 12th over. Harmanpreet Kaur(40) fought alone and tried to counter-attack but Fahima Khatun came up with her wicket. No other batters were able to hold India on the ground and as a result, they crumbled completely. Rabeya Khatun finished her spell with 3 wickets and India only managed to put up 102 on the scoreboard.

Bangladesh lost two wickets in the first four overs and the mastermind was Minnu Mani. She gave the start, India were exactly looking for.
