Ravindra Jadeja has always been one of the most influential players for the Indian Cricket Team. Unfortunately, he was not part of the Indian squad for quite some time as he underwent surgery on his right knee in September 2022. Jadeja missed Asia Cup, T20 World Cup & the Bilateral series against Sri Lanka, Bangladesh & New Zealand. The National Cricket Academy gave him a green signal so he can now join the Test Squad of India for the Border Gavaskar Trophy.

NCA advised Jadeja to play one game before participating in the Test series. The all-rounder bagged a seven-wicket haul in a Ranji Trophy game for Saurashtra against Tamil Nadu. Saurashtra lost the match but Jadeja proved his fitness and flew to Bengaluru to wrap up the final tests. The NCA handed a fitness report to Jadeja, which has cleared his participation in the Border Gavaskar Trophy.

He last played a Test match against England in Birmingham in July 2022. A month later, he was ruled out from the Asia cup for an injury to his right knee. Eventually, he got knocked out of the World Cup too. Jadeja was selected for the two-match test series against Bangladesh but later, he withdrew again as he was not fit.

Jadeja is fully fit to play the test series as he dominated with the ball for Saurashtra. He bowled 41 overs in the match & he looked fit and sharp. Jadejaโ€™s addition will strengthen the Indian Squad for the series.
