Venue for the third test of Border-Gavaskar trophy is shifted to Indore from Dharamsala due to sufficient grass density at the HPCA Stadium.

The third Test of the Mastercard Australia tour of India for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, originally scheduled to take place at the HPCA Stadium, Dharamsala from 1st to 5th March has now been moved to Holkar Stadium, Indore.

Due to harsh winter conditions, the outfield of HPCA stadium lacks sufficient grass density. Hence the ground will need some time to develop fully. That is why BCCI has decided to shift the third match of the series to Indore.

Indore just recently hosted the Ranji Trophy semi-final between Madhya Pradesh and Bengal where Bengal defeated Madhya Pradesh.

After winning the first match of the series, India will look to continue their dominance over the Aussies to qualify for the World Test Championship final later this year. Hence, we can expect another turning track on the red soil of Indore in the third match.

Border-Gavaskar Trophy: Schedule for the next three tests

Sr. No. Date Match Venue
1 17th – 21st February 2nd Test Delhi
2 1st – 5th March 3rd Test Indore
3 9th – 13th March 4th Test Ahmedabad
