There have been many comments and targets over the Indian cricketers after the defeat against Pakistan in the T20 WC. Pakistan ended India’s streak of consecutive wins against them and won their first match against India in the T20 world cup. Internet users from all around despite their cricketing abilities are ruling and judging the Indian cricketers badly. Salman Butt also joined these trollers after commenting on Varun Chakravarthy.

Varun Chakravarthy had an impressive season in the 2021 IPL. Therefore, the Indian team had high expectations from the Indian spinner. Unfortunately, he could not match up to the needful like the other Indian bowlers.
What did Salman Butt say?
The former Pakistan cricketer Salman Butt trolled Varun and said that he “may be a mystery bowler” but Pakistani openers were not surprised by his spells. Also, he compared Varun with small Pakistani kids. “Varun Chakravarthy may be a mystery bowler but he was no surprise to us. Kids in Pakistan play a lot of tape ball cricket. Every kid in Pakistan grows up facing this kind of bowling in street cricket, where bowlers do the finger tricks with the ball and try different variations.”
Salman further added, “I don’t think India will play Chakravarthy against Pakistan again and, if they do, expect the result to be the same. Just by looking at someone like Varun, Pakistan’s batters can figure out whether the ball is going to come in or go out. Whoever, the Indian analyst is, perhaps he wasn’t aware of the fact that the one who introduced mystery spin in world cricket, Mendis, wasn’t successful against Pakistan at all.”

Well, the Indian fans did not take his comments lightly. Furthermore, they responded back to the mean comments made by Salman Butt on Twitter as well.
