Till Monday, only two cricketers were there who scored hundreds in all three formats as a captain. Meanwhile, now a new name has been registered on the list and the player is none other than Pakistan skipper Babar Azam. Babar slammed 196 runs against Australia in the fourth innings of the second test match at the National Stadium, Karachi.

Meanwhile, the other two players are former Sri Lankan opener Tilakaratne Dilshan and former skipper of South Africa Faf Du Plessis. Let's have a check at the details of their hundreds as captain in all three formats of the game.

#1. Tillakaratne Dilshan (Sri Lanka)

Former Sri Lanka opener Tillakaratne Dilshan has slammed 193 runs at Lord's in Sri Lanka's tour to England back in 2011. Dilshan's inning of 433 balls consists of 20 boundaries and two over boundaries. However, he got dismissed in 193 when Steve Finn's delivery bowled him out.

In ODIs, Dilshan has scored 108 runs off 102 deliveries against Zimbabwe at Harare in 2010. The former Lankan skipper's innings have included 14 fours and he played with a strike rate of 103. However, Dilshan remains not out on his century in the run chase of 203 runs.

In T20I, the right-handed batter has amassed 104 runs in 85 balls against Australia at Pallekele in 2011. Dilshan remained unbeaten on 104 runs in the 1st T20I of the series.

#2. Faf Du Plessis (South Africa)

In Tests, former South Africa skipper Faf Du Plessis has slammed 112 runs against New Zealand at the Centurian in 2016. He remains not out at the end of the innings.

Meanwhile, in ODIs, captain Faf Du Plessis amassed 111 runs against Australia at Johannesburg in October 2016.

In T20Is, captain Du Plessis scored 119 runs against the West Indies at Johannesburg back in January 2015.

#3. Babar Azam (Pakistan)

In Test cricket, Babar Azam smashed 196 runs in 425 balls against Australia in the second test of the series at National Stadium, Karachi. Babar's innings consisted of 21 fours and one six.

In ODIs, Babar became the captain of Pakistan in 2019 when he slammed his first century as captain. He amassed 125 runs against Zimbabwe to ensure his team's victory in the game.

In T20Is, Babar Azam has slammed 122 runs off 59 deliveries against South Africa at SuperSport Park, Centurian, when Pakistan chased down 204 runs target in just 18 overs.
