After Rajasthan Royals, MS Dhoni's Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have also shown interest in owning a women's IPL team. CSK CEO Kasi Vishwanath has said that as soon as BCCI announces the organizing of women's IPL, the Tamil Nadu-based franchise will make its move to own a team in the women's IPL.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has given many indications about the inaugural edition of the Women's IPL. The Indian Cricket Board has repeatedly assured us that a Women's IPL is just around the corner. This has invoked interest in the stakeholders of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Many franchise owners have expressed interest in owning a Women's IPL team.

"Once the BCCI decides to have women's cricket, we will be interested. We will take a call when it is offered to us. I firmly believe that there is a possibility for Women's IPL. Look at the improvement in India's women's cricket after getting the recognition."

The CSK CEO also dismissed all the rumors of a rift between the four-time champions and the Indian all-rounder saying everything was fine. About the speculation from some quarters that everything wasn't right between CSK and Ravindra Jadeja, he said that wasn't true. "Everything is fine," he said.

"At the TNPL we have around 75 players from districts in the eight teams. The TNPL has helped Tamil Nadu cricket in a big way. It has produced 14 IPL players; that is a big number for a young league," he said.

The CSK CEO also talked about CSK's success in the IPL and credited MS Dhoni and the scouts for the franchise's success so far in the IPL.

"We have eight or nine former first-class cricketers as talent scouts at the CSK since its inception. They follow the domestic game so closely. So when we wanted someone who could bowl with raw pace, we could rope in K. M. Asif; our scouts from Kerala, Sunil Oasis and M. A. Satheesh, had been tracking him."

3. Mohit Sharma | 3 IPL Finals

Yuzvendra Chahal is yet to win an IPL trophy and the right-arm leg-spinner came close thrice, but fell short on all three occasions. The first time Chahal played an IPL final was in 2016 with RCB, where the defending champions suffered a heartbreak against Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Shreyas Iyer made his IPL debut at the age of 20 years and 6 months in 2015 season. His journey began with a bang when he was acquired by Delhi Capitals for ₹2.6 crore, which made headlines as he became the highest earning uncapped player in the tournament.

His auction bid spotlight on him and he responded with a sensational debut, scoring 439 runs at an average of 33.76 in that season. He also won the IPL emerging player for the season award in 2015.

Youngest captain for DC and early leadership (2018)

The 2018 season was a significant turning point in Shreyas Iyer's IPL journey. At the age of 23 years and 142 days, he was given the captaincy, which made him the youngest captain for DC franchise and the fourth-youngest in any IPL side in history.

Iyer smashed a match-winning knock of 93* runs off 40 balls against KKR in his captaincy debut. In the 8 matches he captained, DC won 4 out of them, showing a 50% winning rate.

Sunrisers Hyderabad has shown impressive growth in brand value over the years, strongly because of their splendid performances and consistent playoffs presence. They have a value of ₹705.5 crore (USD: $81M).
