The Women in Blue grab a victory in the very first match of the series with the help of Mandana’s 91 along with half-centuries from Yastika (50) and skipper Harmanpreet Kaur (74*). Moreover, before the chase, the Indian bowlers have also performed well with a must-mention performance by veteran pacer Jhulan Goswami, who picks up a wicket by giving away just 20 runs (also 2 maidens) in her 10-over spell.
The overall team’s performance was top-notch after a T20I series defeat previously. Harmanpreet and her squad will be looking to keep their momentum going further in the next two games to clinch the ODI series.
