Former England captain Joe Root has smashed another ton against New Zealand in the second Test at Trent Bridge to equalize the number of test centuries of Kohli and Smith. Joe Root remains unbeaten on 163 before the stumps on day 3. Along with Joe Root, Ollie Pope has also slammed his second Test century yesterday.

Joe Root has reached his 27th Test ton in 219 innings while Smith has reached the milestone in 136 innings and Kohli in 141 innings. However, both Smith and Kohli are still searching for their 28th Test hundred for long. Two days earlier Joe Root has completed 10,000 Test runs and become the 14th player to do so.
