If they lose the match against Kolkata Knight Riders on Thursday, then they will become the first team to be out of the playoff race.

According to reports, the team will not make any decision mid-season but when the franchise’s two co-owners JSW and GMR will meet, they will discuss the performance of the season. The team has lost against Lucknow Super Giants by 50 runs, against Gujarat Titans by 5 wickets, against Rajasthan by 57 runs, against Mumbai Indians by 6 wickets, and against RCB by 23 runs. The Capitals are without their regular captain Rishabh Pant this season. The wicketkeeper-batter sustained injuries after a horrific car crash in December.
