Chennai Super Kings claimed a record fifth Indian Premier League title with a five-wicket win during the GT vs CSK clash in a rain-affected but thrilling showdown. Ravindra Jadeja smashed 10 runs in the last two deliveries to win the title for Chennai Super Kings. Mohit Sharma almost gifted it to Gujarat but it's looking like Nehra and Hardik's suggestions didn't work for Mohit after bowling 4 brilliant deliveries in the final over. They finished 9th in the IPL 2022 but once again they showed their pedigree in the bigger stages and proved why they win the title for the 5th time. Now CSK are equal to MI in terms of IPL title.

CSK vs GT: What Happened in the IPL 2023 Final
Gujarat posted 214 in 20 overs | Target: 171 in 15 overs (15 overs)
The match was shifted to the reserve day of the weather in Ahmedabad. Even after changing the date, it affected the clash. Gujarat batted first after MSD won the toss. After the end of the first inning, the match was stopped again for the same reason. Earlier, B Sai Sudharsan slammed 96 in 47 balls as Gujarat Titans posted 214 for four after 20 overs. GT posted a mammoth target but CSK had to chase 171 in 15 overs after rain's interruption. CSK completed the task in the last ball at a packed Narendra Modi Stadium in what could turn out to be the legendary Mahendra Singh Dhoni's final outing in the T20 league. Ravindra Jadeja struck a six and a four off Mohit Sharma in the final two balls to win it for CSK.
GT were off to a flying start with their opening duo of Wriddhiman Saha and Shubman Gill putting on 67 runs in seven overs. Then, Gill was sent back by star left-arm spinning all-rounder Jadeja for a 20-ball 39. Saha went on to make 54 off 39 balls to build a strong foundation for a massive total. Saha was dismissed by seamer Deepak Chahar who dropped Gill when the batter was on 3. Sudharsan was also in good form in recent times. He smashed six sixes and eight fours in his blistering knock.
