In the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2015-16, Jasprit Bumrah picked up the most number of wickets. Bumrah played in 9 matches and scalped 21 wickets with his best performance of 5/28 and an economy of 4.02.
Tamil Nadu's Aswin Crist was the highest wicket-taker during the 2016-17 Vijay Hazare Trophy season. He played in 9 matches where he took 20 wickets with a BBI of 5/29 and an economy of 5.10.
In the 2017-18 season of this tournament, Mohammed Siraj was the highest wicket-taker. With a BBI of 5/37 and an economy of 5.68, he picked up 23 wickets for Hyderabad in 7 matches
Jharkhand's Shahbaz Nadeem made it to this list after picking up 24 wickets in the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2018-19 season. He was the highest wicket-taker that season with a BBI of 8/10 and an economy of 3.86
8. Pritam Das
Pritam Das of Assam once again made it into the list after picking up the most number of wickets in the 2019-20 season of this tournament. Pritam played in 9 matches that season very picked up 23 wickets with a BBI of 5/5 and an economy of 3.25
Shivam Sharma picked up 21 wickets in the season 2020-21. Playing for Uttar Pradesh, Shivam scalped 21 wickets in 8 matches. He ended the season with a BBI of 7/1 and an economy of 4.60.
Yash Thakur is the highest wicket-taker of this year. Playing for Vidarbha, Yash featured in 7 matches in this tournament where he bowled 62.5 overs. He scalped 18 wickets for his team with an economy of 5.72 and a BBI of 5/53.

A rare sight of Jasprit Bumrah being agitated was seen during a match between MI and DC in IPL 2025. It occurred when Karun Nair was having a phenomenal time with the bat for DC and smashed Bumrah for 18 runs in a single over.
The argument began when Nair collided with Bumrah while completing a second run between the wickets. He instantly apologised, but Bumrah was visibly angry and exchanged heated words.
