ICC announced the Men's Test Team of the year 2021 for ICC Awards 2021. Rohit Sharma, Rishabh Pant and Ravichandran Ashwin were included in the team from India. Meanwhile, ICC World Test Champion New Zealand's skipper Kane Williamson was made the captain of the team.

Fawad Alam, at 36 was the surprise of the year as the piled 571 test runs at an average of 57.10 with three centuries. Rishabh Pant is made the wicket-keeper of the Test team of the year as there was no one close to him with 748 runs in just 12 test matches in 2021.

Ravichandran Ashwin took 54 wickets in 9 matches at an average of 16.64 to go with his 355 runs at an average of 25.35. He is also one of the nominees for the Test Player of the year. Dimuth Karunaratne, who is regarded as one the most underrated test cricketer scored the second-most runs as an opener in 2021. He piled 902 runs in 7 matches at an average of 69.38.

Along with him, it was Rohit Sharma who scored the most for team India in the test in 2021. Rohit scored 906 runs at an average of 47.68. Meantime, Marnus Labschange was also world-classs at No.3 in test cricket. The Aussie rookie scored 526 runs at an average of 65.75.
Kyle Jamieson had shined with the ball in hand. He picked up 27 wickets in 5 matches in 2021. However, in 2021 it was the Pakistani duo of Hasan Ali and Shaheen Afridi who celebrated most. Shaheen took 47 wickets in 9 matches. Meanwhile, Ali took 41 wickets in 9 test matches.
