International Cricket Council (ICC) declared the name of the countries that will be hosting all the men's cricket global events during the cycle of ICC events 2024-31. ICC finalized the venues for the next 8 events on Monday. The venues have been decided based on the bids that were put in earlier in 2022. A total of 28 proposals from 17 countries were given as proposals. ICC once again believed in India and made it the commercial driver of ICC events 2024-31 by allotting 3 tournaments to its name.
The tournaments of the ICC events 2024-31 are completely different from the previous cycle of 2017-23. During that time the Big Three- India, England, and Australia hosted all the major tournaments among themselves. But a lot changed in these 7 years and with the immense growth of T20 cricket, ICC decided to take the sport globally and host it in different countries as well.

ICC Events 2024-31: Full schedule and host countries
- The first tournament of the cycle; the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 will be hosted by the USA and the West Indies. 2024 will be the first time when the USA will host a global cricket tournament. West Indies will co-host the event with the USA. Appointing the USA as the host with West Indies for the 2024 T20 World Cup is actually a strategic move by the ICC. The USA is a large platform and has a huge market to expand the sport. Also, it makes the process easier to participate in the Olympics. USA will host the 2028 Olympics and the inclusion of cricket in the USA will majorly increase the chance of entering the Olympics.
- Pakistan will host the Champions Trophy after about 3 decades in 2025. It is clearly one of the biggest news, especially for the Pakistan Cricket Board and they will surely work hard to bring back International tournaments in their country after the disruption caused in 2009.
