The Indian U-19 men's team hammered Ireland by 174 runs and won qualified for the Super League quarter-finals. Indian openers Angkrish Raghuvanshi & Harnoor Singh played a huge role in this win in the Group B fixture of the ICC Men's U-19 World Cup.

India successfully won both their opening matches and also qualified for the Super League quarter-finals. The team will now face Uganda in the final group stage match on Saturday. 6 Indian cricketers already tested positive for Covid-19 previously. Yet, the team managed to emerge victorious with a depleted playing XI in this game of ICC Men's U-19 World Cup.
Openers Angkrish Raghuvanshi & Harnoor Singh built great momentum for the middle-order batters and scored 88 runs and 79 runs respectively. Angkrish Raghuvanshi was also awarded the Player of the Match award. Raj Bawa, captain Nishant Sindhu, and Rajvardhan Hangargekar also played some good knocks and took the team to 307 runs. Ireland failed to go anywhere closer to the chasing target and got undled up at for just 133 runs.
Captain shared their views post the game of game of ICC Men's U-19 World Cup :
Indian U-19 Captain Nishant Sindhu said, "I am really happy with the win. It was great to see everyone sticking to their roles and plans. We had to focus early, had to keep those things (COVID19 cases in the camp) out of the mind and the boys responded well."
Ireland U-19 Captain said, "Have to give credit to India. They came out with the bat and put pressure on us straightaway. We didn't bowl particularly well although we did pull things back well later on. We were happy to restrict them to 307 because it was a good surface."
