The International Cricket Council announced the March nominees for the ICC Player of the month on 6 April. The shortlisted cricketers entering this list are Babar Azam (Pakistan), Kraigg Brathwaite (West Indies), and Pat Cummins (Australia) for their superb performances and grand contributions to their respective teams.
Babar Azam

Babar Azam aggregated 390 runs against Australia with an average of 78 in the 3-match Test series. He smashed a record-breaking 196 runs in the second Test to end the match in a draw. In the ODI series against the same competitors, Babar hit 57 runs and 114 runs respectively. Pakistan's skipper was the key player in the entire historic series against Australia.
Kraigg Brathwaite
The Test captain of the West Indies cricket team was the most impressive cricketer of the test series against England. The opener scored 341 runs with an average of 85.25 during the WTC series. One of his best knocks came during the second test where he smashed 160 runs off 489 deliveries to tackle the mammoth total of their opponent. His huge innings helped West Indies to end the second match with a draw.
Pat Cummins

Pat Cummins enlisted his name into this elite list where the last month was mostly dominated by the batters. He fulfilled his responsibilities in the best way possible; bowled efficiently and led the team to clinch the series to their name. Pat scalped 5 wickets for 56 in the first innings, followed by 3 for 23 in the second innings of the last test. In total, he took 12 wickets with an average of 22.50 and got his first nomination to the ICC Player of the Month awards.
