Batter Aaradhya Yadav replaced Vasu Vats in the ongoing ICC U19 World Cup. ICC said in a statement that its event technical committee approved the replacement of injured all-rounder Vasu Vats on Saturday.

Vasu Vats had to leave the tournament in between as he suffered a hamstring injury. Therefore, Yadav replaced him and will remain available for selection in India's upcoming matches.
ICC shared, "Vats has sustained a hamstring injury and will be unable to take any further part in the event. The replacement of a player requires the approval of the Event Technical Committee before the replacement player can be officially added to the squad."

The Event Technical Committee of ICC consists of the Chair Chris Tetley (ICC Head of Events), Ben Leaver (ICC Senior Event Manager), Fawwaz Baksh (Tournament Director) Roland Holder (CWI Representative) Alan Wilkins, and Russel Arnold (both independent representatives).
India has qualified for the Super League semi-final after securing the first position in Group B. They won all the 3 matches and finished with 6 points and an NRR of 3.633. Also, India will now face Bangladesh in the Super League semi-final on 29 January. Coolidge Cricket Ground in Antigua and Barbuda will host the clash.
