India opener Ishan Kishan had to rush to hospital after sustaining a head injury while playing against Sri Lanka. He hurt his head while batting in the second match of IND vs SL. Sri Lanka batter Dinesh Chandimal also had to rush to the hospital as he suffered a thumb injury while fielding in the same match.
Sri Lanka pacer Lahiru Kumara bowled a 146 kmph bouncer to the wicketkeeper-batter in the 4th over. That pace delivery struck on his helmet hard as he was attempting a pull shot. Though the physio advised him to not play, he continued it and returned to the pavilion soon, scoring 16 off 15. He went to the normal ward and admitted there as a precautionary measure. Also, he had to go through a CT scan immediately. It is only a matter of a few hours to see if Ishan remains available for the third match of IND vs SL or whether his injury is a serious one.
Dr. Shubham said, "I have been attached to the Indian team and I got information that an Indian player, who has sustained a head injury, has been brought here in the hospital. His CT scan was conducted and he has been under observation.
He further stated aout the injured Sri Lankan cricketer. "A Sri Lankan player has also been admitted in the hospital, after receiving a thumb injury in the second T20I. We are monitoring everything right now."
