India suffered a loss by 4 wickets in the very first encounter of the three-match T20I series last Tuesday. However, it’s now the last chance for Rohit and his men to bounce back in the series with a win in this game. India went with Dinesh Karthik as keeper while dropping Pant from the XI.
Vice-captain KL Rahul smashed a fifty while Hardik also scored a quickfire 71 off just 30 balls. Pacer Bumrah rested for the game so he might come back in this match. However, as a result, India failed to defend a good total of 208 against the Aussies. India will be looking to get back to the winning momentum in this game at Nagpur.
Australia:
Meanwhile, for the World Champions, it’s a good sign that they are able to chase down a target of over 200 in the very first match. They will defend their World Cup title this year at home and as preparation, they’re engaging with India here in a three-match T20I series. In the first game, Green opened the innings with skipper Finch as he smashed a half-century and returned with a score of 61 off 30. Green also picked up a wicket while bowling in the first innings.
He, however, was declared the man of the match for his brilliant batting and bowling display. It was Wade, who scored 45 off 21 to end India’s hope for win and helped his team to earn a 1-0 lead in the series. They will be now eyeing to keep the momentum going in the series and in the T20 World Cup also.
