Mahendra Singh Dhoni is set to lead Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the next 2023 season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan has confirmed that the former Indian skipper will be the captain in the IPL 2023 season.

Dhoni has been leading the Chennai franchise since 2008 and he will again lead the franchise in 2023.
At the start of the IPL 2022 season, Ravindra Jadeja was named the captain of CSK. However, in the middle of the tournament, Jadeja was sacked from the role. Meanwhile, Dhoni again put up the job and led the team for the rest of the season.
Now, the situation is like we may not see Jadeja playing for the franchise from next season. As per reports, Jadeja is set to leave CSK and join a new team from the best season.

Chennai Super Kings has already clinched the trophy four times and that too under MS Dhoni's guidance. So, it's obvious that the next season is also going to be exciting with MS as the captain to lead the team.
IPL 2023 will have a two-and-a-half-month window as approved by the International Cricket Council (ICC) earlier.
