Delhi Capitals (DC) will travel to Guwahati for their 3rd league stage fixture of the IPL 2023 and will take on Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the first game of Super Saturday (April 8). The visiting team will miss out on the services of Australian all-rounder Mitchell Marsh as he is returning home for one week for his wedding.

IPL 2023: Rovman Powell to replace Marsh

Cricbuzz has reported that Mitchell Marsh is flying to Australia for his wedding and will miss one week of IPL 2023 action. Marsh was part of DC's playing XI in both of their matches in the campaign so far. He was dismissed for a first-ball duck in the first game against Lucknow Super Giants. In the second game, Marsh was only able to score 4 runs. With Marsh's absence, DC might bring in Rovman Powell into the playing XI.

There will be no change in the opening combination as David Warner and Prithvi Shaw will continue to open for the team. Warner played important knocks in both matches but his strike rate has been below par. Shaw, on the other hand, is yet to play a big knock. He has managed to score 12 and 7 in the first two games.

The fixture against Rajasthan is an important one for Delhi. Another defeat will see them register a hat-trick of defeats. They have an NRR of -1.703. As for Rajasthan, they have 1 win from 2 matches. The Sanju Samson-led side kicked off its IPL 2023 season with a big 72-run win over Sunrisers Hyderabad. In their 2nd game against Punjab Kings, RR fell short and suffered a close 5-run defeat.
