Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper Virat Kohli won the toss and chose to bat first against Kolkata Knight Riders. However, the start was not good for RCB, as they lost their captain Kohli in just 5 runs. After that the debutant KS Bharat and young star Devdutt Padikkal buids a god partnership. Coming to bat, Shubman Gill and Venkatesh Iyer easily chased down the total in just 10 overs. Shubman Gill scored 48 runs in just 34 balls with the help of 6 fours and a six. However, the other star in the opening pair was Venkatesh Iyer, who scored 41* runs in just 27 bowls and finishes with hitting back to back two four against Yuzvendra Chahal. The only wicket of Shubman Gill was picked by the RCB spinner Yuzi Chahal. As nothing was in favour for the Bangalore side in this match.
