Jemimah Rodrigues, an Indian women's cricketer, achieved a hat-trick and assisted on the fourth goal in a hockey game. As a result, her team UK United beat Sea View 4-2 in their WCG rink hockey opener on Friday.
Despite the limitations of the rink hockey pitch, she slid into empty pockets of the vacant areas by constantly moving. Jemimah, who, like her colleagues, wore a giant Wonder Woman insignia on the front of her shirt, scored three of UK United's four goals against Sea View. She also established the fourth for comparison purposes. Within the first two minutes, she scored two goals. However, despite the scoreline, she did not simply station herself in front of the opposing goal. She preferred to play deep to defend as per her team's requirements. In fact, after scoring the game's first goal, the 21-year-old passed the ball from directly in front of her own goal and then snuck behind the Sea View defence to grab the ball from a teammate. Thus, she touched her second goal of the night. Eventually, her third goal came from a penalty kick.

Also, she previously played hockey for Mumbai before settling on cricket, scoring 394 runs in 21 Women's One-Day Internationals and 1,055 runs in Women's Twenty-One-Day Internationals for India.
However, Jemimah received a lot of acclaim and recognition for her performance from a lot of notable personalities. Olympian Joaquim Carvalho, who is also the sports secretary for WCG, is one of them. According to her, "I've known Jemimah since she was 10. She used to come to the St Stanislaus ground
On the other hand, UK United's coach Adrian D'Souza praised her fitness by saying, "She was spearheading our attack and also falling back to defend throughout. She is extremely fit."
