A total of 574 players will appear in the auction. Players till serial number 117 will go under the hammer on Day 1. On day 2 players from 118 serial numbers will appear in the accelerated auction where players recommended by franchises will go under the hammer. 

The franchises will have to give the names at the end of Day 1 for the accelerated auction. 

The IPL 2025 auction will start at 3.30 pm IST. To allow the end of the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy Perth Test match, the timing of the auction was changed. 

The IPL 2025 auction will take place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on 24th and 25th November, 2024.
