Indian top-order batter KL Rahul, who has been out of action for the last month and a half, has resumed batting practice. The 30-year-old was supposed to lead India in the five-match T20I series against South Africa last month, but suffered a groin injury on the eve of the first match in Delhi and was ruled out of the entire series.

The right-handed batter missed the Ireland series as well as the England tour due to injury. Meanwhile, he recently traveled to Germany to be operated on for a sports hernia.
The batter is named in the Indian squad for the upcoming T20I series against West Indies. The series will begin later this month. However, ahead of that, he has started to hit the nets to attain full match fitness. Even though KL Rahul is named in the T20I team for the West Indies tour, he has to pass the fitness test before donning the India blue.

And to clear the test, he has started batting practice and was recently spotted batting at the nets. A video of him was recently shared by one of his fan pages on Twitter. In the video, KL was seen batting at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) nets in Bengaluru.

KL was named in the Indian Test team for the rescheduled Test against England at Edgbaston but missed due to injury. Rahul has been one of India's best batters across formats in the last couple of years. Moreover, he has also made a big name for himself in the IPL as well. Under his leadership, IPL debutants Lucknow Super Giants managed to reach the playoffs of this year's edition.
