Maheesh Theekshana is yet to arrive in Mumbai. MI will also have to deal with the injury-enforced absence of Jhye Richardson for the entire season. Mumbai's batting also lacks power. Suryakumar Yadav, Cameron Green, and Tim David have to step up on an easy-paced Wankhede track - but their bowling attack appears light.

On the bowling front, this season might be Jofra Archer or nothing for Mumbai. It remains to be seen whether Riley Meredith, who has been signed as a replacement for Richardson, is available for selection on Sunday.

Chennai Super Kings

In the season opener against Gujarat Titans, Super Kings dominated early but eventually, they let the game slip out of their hand. The arrival of Sisanda Magala, South Africa and Sunrisers Eastern Cape death-bowling specialist, could potentially give Super Kings' seam attack the cutting edge it lacked in that match against Titans.

Magala has to replace someone but who will be that player? Mitchell Santner's impressive spells both in Ahmedabad and Chennai shouldn't let him bench. So, the question remains unanswered till the start of the match. Super Kings' batting depth will be a huge advantage as they have Deepak Chahar listed at No.11 - which is well-suited to the Wankhede pitch.
